Project policies

Delivery, changes, returns, and warranty framework.

This page explains the website framework. The accepted quote version and sale agreement control the actual transaction.

Delivery and unloading

Delivery eligibility, shipment count, carrier requirements, access, unloading responsibility, freight, timing, and risk-of-loss terms must appear in the accepted written proposal or sale agreement. Dates shown before supplier confirmation are estimates.

Changes and cancellation

No website configuration or quote request is an order. Once a customer accepts a written proposal, change, cancellation, custom-material, restocking, and refund rights are controlled by that accepted version and the related sale agreement.

Damage and shortage

The receiving party should inspect each load, note visible exceptions on the delivery record, preserve packaging and photographs, and notify Steel Direct USA using the timeframe stated in the written agreement.

Returns and refunds

Return eligibility varies by product, fabrication status, condition, supplier authorization, freight, and written sale terms. A refund is not promised until the applicable order and supplier recovery are reviewed and approved.

Product warranty

Any applicable product or finish warranty, claim procedure, exclusions, required maintenance, and manufacturer handoff must be identified in the written proposal or supplied product documents. Steel Direct USA does not expand a third party’s warranty through this website.

Materials-only scope

Unless the accepted written proposal expressly says otherwise, the scope is a material package. Erection, foundations, field measurement, permits, surveys, installation, site work, equipment, and local-code approval are not included.

These policies should be reviewed by counsel before paid-media approval. See also the website terms and privacy notice.
